This beautiful little hamlet takes you away from the hustle and bustle and back to a simpler time and a true feeling of the old west.
30 minutes north of Cochrane, and the jewel in the crown of the Water Valley Main Street. The Water Valley saloon is the perfect spot for family, friends, date night, whatever you want. The food is great and the staff are even better. It’s big portions and relaxed saloon dining which suits the atmosphere perfectly. They have options for everyone on the menu but expect big burgers and buckets of wings. Surrounded by taxidermy of every local beast, this may not be one for vegans, but when your in the heart of beef country…. It would be rude not to. Serving all local beers and pretty much anything else that takes your fancy, this place really has something for everyone.
Walking along the wooden boardwalk makes you feel like the star in an old western and with empty highways stretching as far as the eye can see you can’t beat the peace and quiet. A regular spot for bikers and anyone else looking for an excuse to take a drive. This little blast from the past has a authentic little liquor store, a gas station, general store and a town hall, and a few doors down the old chapel has been converted in to a beautiful cafe (we will for sure be visiting there next time)
We’re both big fans of Water Valley so expect more from us on one of our favourite hang outs!
